Twenty-one names… right here!

Today the California Department of Veterans Affairs agreed to add the names of the 21 Californians killed on the USS Frank E. Evans to the California Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the grounds of the state capitol. Next stop... Washington, D.C.!

Fred Kerr, who lost his brother Jim Kerr on the ship, was at the hearing in Sacramento. He thought it wasn't go to get approved by the five-member board ... and then IT DOES!!! He says: "It's emotional... you walk out of there, the emotion is just draining." For the veterans and families of the USS Frank E. Evans this ordeal has been about these victories. Today is a great day for them. Next stop, Washington!
