After finishing American Boys, a narrative nonfiction that was an excellent way to mesh together my work as a journalist and my love of writing, I pivoted to one of my longtime dreams: to be a novelist. I completed my first novel Falling Toward Home in 2016 and am now working on the first draft of a second novel, The Dandelion.

A Greatest Generation's Peyton's Place, Falling Toward Home is part love story, part coming-of-age tale of a haunted generation that suffered in silence and went on to love in spite of it.
